Meet Dr. Saeed Shaker
Dr. Saeed Shaker has over 45 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology as a professor and as a physician and has worked with Dr. Michael Fakih since 2003. From 1990 to 2003, he was Head of the OB/GYN Unit of Al Wasl Hospital (currently Latifa Hospital). Since 1990, Dr. Shaker has also been a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dubai Medical College. Prior to that time, he was a Resident Consultant and Professor at Kuwait University Hospital from 1981 to 1990. From 1962 through 1981, he worked in Syria, first as a Lecturer at Damascus University, then as the Head of Family Planning Medicine in the World Health Organization and Professor at Teshreen University. Dr. Saeed has many years of experience and special interest in Cosmetic Gynecological Surgery, Infertility, High-Risk Pregnancy, early detection of cancer in women and Endocrine disorders.
Membership: Head of Emirates Medical Association (Gynecology), Member of the British Medical Association, Arabic Board and Fellowship of International Surgeon College.
Education: Dr. Shaker received his MBBCh in 1961 from Damascus University, Syria, having been awarded First Prize. He continued his Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Damascus Medical College. In 1988 to 89, he completed his Arab Board in OB/GYN at Kuwait University. Dr. Shaker completed his Fellowship in 1991 at the International College of Surgeons in Chicago, USA.
