A big misconception is commonly circulated that it is necessary to “DETOX” because foods may contain toxins.

Fasting doesn’t necessarily mean that you are in a detox mood. You may detoxify your body temporary or permanently from sugar, nicotine, caffeine, chemicals (e.g. artificial sweeteners), processed foods or a food group which may be causing you some discomfort (such as dairy or wheat).

Your liver, kidneys and intestine already do the cleansing for you, hence, trust your body!
