Here is to Strong Women. May we know them? May we be them? May we raise them?
Happy Women’s Day!!!
Fakih IVF on this Women’s Day wants to reinstall the belief and strength in all the women across the globe to stand tall against all odds and imperfections in their personal and professional lives. International Women’s Day (March 8) is a worldwide day celebrating the social, financial, economic and political accomplishments of women. The day also marks a call to take action for fostering gender equality. A woman evokes the picture of warmth and care and ignites the spirit of power and hope. However, unfortunately, sometimes women had to fight for their independence and protection of basic rights. A woman deserves parity with their male counterparts at home and at the workplace, so that they do not have to choose between family and work commitments.
Having said this, sometimes career-oriented women suffer from poor fertility for several reasons ranging from reasons like work stress, psychological stress, social and economic factors which lead to delayed marriages, resulting in infertility. In spite of these women can still maintain their fertility by ensuring the following:
Regular visit to doctors: A consultation and basic fertility evaluation is an affordable way to get a snapshot of your fertility potential. Hence, it is always advisable to keep a check on your biological clock and instead of relying on Dr. Google, consult your doctor, as fertility can be a confusing part of life, often we think we know more than we really do.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Ensure we maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle by ensuring intake of a healthy diet supplemented by regular physical activities. Keep a check on factors like what to eat, when to eat etc.
Physical Exams: The physical exam will probably include a pelvic examination and a pap smear to check the health of your reproductive organs and breasts, and to look for problems like tumors, cysts, infections, or inflammation.
Egg Freezing: Egg freezing offers you flexibility in delaying pregnancy for later in life and allows you to take control of your own biological clock. It offers us the opportunity to sequence our work and personal lives if we so choose.
IVF /ICSI: If your marriage is delayed due to any commitments and you have been trying to conceive for more than a year, it is better not to waste more time and go ahead with treatments like IVF and ICSI. The more we delay, the less are the chances of a successful IVF as the egg quality deteriorates with age. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the process of collecting eggs from the wife and sperm from the husband and fertilizing them in the Embryology Laboratory under controlled conditions. In order to increase chances of fertilization, a single sperm is injected into each of the retrieved eggs using a precision needle through a process called Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
People generally associate infertility with working women, but to clear the air on this myth, infertility is equally applicable for non-working women too.
